May Salon is a traditional annual exhibition of the Association of Slovenian Fine Arts Societies, active since 1909. The 2025 edition takes place in Ptuj and includes works from all fields of visual art, presented by artists from nine regional societies.
The exhibition is hosted at Ptuj Castle, Mihelič Gallery, and Ptuj City Gallery.
This year’s theme asks: What is the role of artists today? Art often acts as a form of soft power, shaping identities and ideologies, but it also offers space for reflection, dialogue, and change. Through their work, artists respond to the complexities of the present moment—gently, yet powerfully.
